ATTENTION members of the crew of HMAS Supply

during the Mururoa Atoll French nuclear testing !!!!!

Resulting from many inquiries from the HMAS Supply, Mururoa Atoll deployed crew members, the Naval Tankermen

Association has decided to make a formal submission to the Rudd Federal Labour government to have this service

recognised as War Service

Currently a submission is being prepared to send to the Honourable Mike Kelly, MHR Parliamentary Secretary for Defence.

The Naval Tankermen Association committee has appointed Harry Noe (ex ABUC 1972-75) as the Projects Officer spearhead this action.

If you were a member of the Mururoa Supply crew then Harry would like to hear from you, especially if you are

suffering any health problems you think are related to your service there.

Please be assured that any information you provide will be handled in the strictest of confidence.

Also, Harry is seeking information on what protective equipment, practices and actions were deployed to ensure crew

members and their fresh victuals were safe from contamination.

The approach to date has been to prepare a submission on behalf of the Naval Tankermen Association to
send to the current government requesting recognition of Supply's
involvement in French Nuclear testing at Mururoa Atoll in 1973 be recognised
as non-warlike hazardous service under the Veterans' Entitlement Act of
1986.
